Obituary for Joseph Bernas
Joseph Bernas, age 90, beloved husband of late Beatrice Bernas, passed away peacefully June 19, 2013 in his home. Born in Mt. Carmel, NY son of the late Valentine and Eva Bernas, Mr Bernas received his Master's Degree and retired after teaching 6th grade at the former Birdseye School, Stratford. He was a avid dancer as his wife Bea was. When they were younger they taught in the Dance Studio that Bea founded. He is survived by nieces and a sister-in-law. At his request, friends are invited to attend Joe's graveside service on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 1 pm in section 3 of St. Michael's Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave., Stratford. The William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford is in care of arrangements.
