Obituary for Joseph Vincent Martin
Joseph V. Martin, age 60, of Stratford, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Martin was born October 2, 1955 in Bridgeport, son of the late Joseph V. and Anna (Lisi) Martin and had been a lifelong Stratford resident.
Joseph retired from Branson Electronics and worked as a Master Scheduler for Unipower. He was an avid fisherman, loved to build models, enjoyed reading, watching westerns and the history channel and was a great collector, especially watches.
Survivors include his partner, Violet Pickel and her daughter Vera Pickel of Stratford; two sisters, Lisa Martin of Derby and Karen Martin and her partner Robert Martucci of Wallingford; one niece, Jennifer Favaro; one great-nephew, Anthony Menillo; good friends, Dan Golias and Michael, George and Angela Sutyak and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford, CT 06615. Interment will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
