Obituary for Jurgen Kelb
Jurgen Kelb, age 78 of Stratford, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital. Jurgen was born November 19, 1943, in Marburg, Germany. He was the son of the late Karl and Matilda (Engelhardt) Kelb. He came to the United States when he was 10 years old to join his sister Edith and her husband George.
Jurgen was a sensitive and kind man, who cared for his sister, Edith. An avid sports fan, he had a special affinity for soccer. Jurgen enjoyed collecting model ships which were displayed around his home. Having a profound sense of humor, Jurgen always kept everyone laughing. Jurgen also enjoyed going to the 19th Hole and spending time with his friends Gene and Karen Leone in Easton.
Survivors include his children; Gary Kelb and his wife Janice, Erich Kelb, Jason Kelb, Alicia Kelb Brockman, his grandchildren; Jesse Kelb, Brianna Kelb, and Brayden Brockman, his siblings; Edith Strich, Irmgard Wetmore, and several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Edgar Kelb.
