Serving Our Community Since 1951Loretta was a retired LPN and worked for many years for Dr. Winston DeLaney DDS. She also worked for many area nursing homes and did private duty nursing well into her 70's. She volunteered for the Red Cross, enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Yale Football Fan.
Survivors include her devoted children, Elaine Holman and her husband David of Guilford and George Frederick Firkey of Shelton; one granddaughter Victoria Tupay and her husband Douglas of Shelton; a sister-in-law, Shirley Marshall of Vermont and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Kenneth Firkey of Tennessee. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia and two brothers, Thomas Marshall Jr. and Jack Marshall.
Friends are invited to attend her Funeral on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home 2591 Main St., Stratford and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, 2110 Main St., Stratford for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Saint Michael's Garden Mausoleum, Stratford. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday evening (TODAY) from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
