Obituary for Mary Ann Couture
Mary Ann Couture, age 84, of Stratford, passed away peacefully Friday, February 26, 2016 in the Lord Chamberlain HCC, Stratford. Mary Ann was born in Bridgeport Hospital January 26, 1932, daughter of the late Edmund and Marie (Robichaud) Couture and was raised in Stratford.
She was a graduate of Stratford High School Class of 1950 and retired from Sikorsky Aircraft and Blue Light Messenger Service.
Survivors include two brothers, Joseph Clarence "Buster" Couture of Bridgeport and Joseph Donald Couture and his wife Janet of Madison; two sisters, Ruth Spigarolo and her daughter Laurie Farrell both of Bridgeport and Marie Annette Cullen and her husband Irving of Stratford; several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews and two devoted friends, Murphy and Keith.
She is predeceased by a brother-in-law, Larry Spigarolo and sister-in-law, Eva Couture and dear friend, Frank Birdsell.
She was a kind and generous person who would help anyone in need, Mary Ann will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Lord Chamberlain for the excellent care given to Mary Ann.
Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. by meeting directly at St. James Church, 2110 Main St., Stratford. Interment will be private. Calling hours have been omitted.
