Obituary for Mildred Buchanan
Mildred D. Buchanan, age 89, of Stratford, Connecticut, wife of the late Harold W. Buchanan, Jr., passed away peacefully at the home of her son, Peter Buchanan and his wife, Minerva, in Phoenix, AZ on August 18, 2012. Millie’s memory will be embraced by her family including one daughter, Sheila Heron, 2 sons, Peter, his wife, Minerva, of Phoenix, AZ; Robert Buchanan and his wife, Barbara, of San Diego, CA; her 6 grandchildren; Patrick Heron and his wife, Danielle, of Maryland; Kathleen Bono and her husband, Danny, of New Hampshire; Mark Heron and his wife, Michelle, of Massachusetts; Jessica Carrafiello and her husband, Jason, of Stratford, CT; Sheila Gigante and her husband, Billy, of San Diego, CA; and Thomas Buchanan of San Diego, CA. Millie is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and her best friend, Eleanor Lynn and her husband, Peter, of Stratford, CT, and other dear friends. Millie was predeceased by her loving sister, the late Sister Helen Margaret (Mary Louise Feeney) of Hartford, CT. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012, from 9:00am-10:30am at McDonald Funeral Home located at 2591 Main Street, Stratford, CT. A funeral Mass will follow at St. Mark’s CatholicChurch, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, CT. at 11 AM.
