Obituary for Philomene "Rita" Joseph
Philomene (Danzie) Joseph, age 90, of Bridgeport and previously of St Lucia, West Indies, known to her friends and family as Rita, beloved wife of the late Tboy Joseph passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in the Maefair Nursing Facility, Trumbull.
Mrs. Joseph was born January 5, 1926 in St Lucia, West Indies, daughter of the late Helena Danzie.
Mrs. Joseph enjoyed gardening, cooking, festivities and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her devoted and loved children, Petrona Joseph, Anatalia Joseph, Christabele Aimable, Shirley Vixamar, Cletus Danzie, Annette Wilson, Thomasine Danzie, Priscilla Clarke and Irmina Vera Phillips; 6 sons-in-law Nick, Vernon, Camille, Raul, Patrick and Earnest; 26 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Lydia Joseph.
Friends are invited for payers and services on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 245 Huntington Turnpike, Bridgeport, CT. 06610. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may visit with the family before Service time in the church from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
