Obituary for Rita Constantine
Rita Constantine, age 93, of Milford and formerly of Stratford, beloved daughter of the late Albert and Theresa (Galvan) Constantine, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 9, 2016 in St. Joseph Manor, Trumbull. Born in St. Albans, VT, she resided in Stratford most of her life.
Rita retired from Bridgeport Brass and then decided to attend classes to become a LPN and began working at the former Dinan Center, Bond St., Bridgeport until she retired. Survivors include a nephew Jim Brolet and his wife Sue with whom she resided and were her devoted caregivers, along with her grandniece Katie Brolet until Rita went to St. Joseph's four months ago. Survivors also include nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great-grandnieces including Nicole Parks and great-grandnephews.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by two brothers Shorty and James Constantine and a sister Catherine (Kay) Brolet.
Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. from the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit with the family Saturday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
