Obituary for Robin Mercurio
Robin E. Mercurio, beloved wife of Michael Mercurio of Stratford, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013 in Milford Hospital after a long courageously fought battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Robin was the beloved daughter of Margaret and the late Raymond Brouillet. A graduate of Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing, she served in many nursing roles from pediatric nurse to home care coordinator to professional nurse recruiter. However, her most rewarding role was that of a mother to sons Raymond Charles, age 14 and Philip Carrol, age 12. One of her greatest pleasures was music and singing in the choir at Stratford United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband and loving children, she is survived by her sister Christine Brouillet and her husband Steven Willard of Woodbury; her father-in-law Charles Mercurio; brother-in-law Charles A Mercurio, Jr.; sisters-in-law Christine Schrieber and Terry Collins; a niece Jessica and nephew S.Sgt. Anthony Corrica USMC. Robin was grateful for her many loyal friends. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, April18, 2013 at 11:00 am at Stratford United Methodist Church with Rev. Meg Williams and Rev Dr. Donald Kirkham officiating. At the family's request there will be no calling hours. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Robin's memory to Stratford United Methodist Church.
