Obituary for Shirley Driscoll
Shirley A. Driscoll of Stratford passed away peacefully Saturday, March 24, 2018 in Connecticut Hospice Branford.
Shirley was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late James and Katherine (Walsh) Driscoll and had been a life time area resident.
Shirley was a communicant of Saint Marks Church and a member of the Saint Mark Guild of Our Lady. She was a Registered Nurse, graduated St. Vincent School of Nursing and furthered her studies in Boston to become a nurse anesthetist and retired from Griffin Hospital after many years.
She was predeceased by her three siblings, Donald Driscoll, Kathleen Speer and James Driscoll and was survived by several nieces and nephews as well as many dear and wonderful friends.
Friends are invited to attend her funeral service celebrated by Deacon Paul Kurmay on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. by meeting directly in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave, Stratford.
Per her request, there will be no visiting hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Stratford Animal Rescue Society, 225 Beacon Point Rd, Stratford, Connecticut 06615.
