Obituary for Theresa Biebel
Theresa (Salvaggio) Livia Biebel, age 87 of Stratford, wife of the late Edward Biebel, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Stratford. Theresa was born November 26, 1928 in Bridgeport to Anthony and Josephine (Vinci) Salvaggio and was a lifetime area resident.
Theresa was dedicated to her profession as a nurse and was a retired LPN at The Jewish Home for the Elderly. She loved to travel and read, but most especially cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Robyn Fry of Stratford; two grandchildren, Livia Fry and Gary Livia Jr.; several great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Lynne Livia and son-in-law Peter Chuley; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Salvaggio and Meg Salvaggio; several stepchildren; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Theresa was predeceased by Peter Livia, beloved husband of 25 years and father of her children; her son Gary Livia Sr.; and her daughter Dawn Chuley.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. by meeting directly at St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Interment and all other services will be private.
